The Whistle Stop

28x28, Mixed Media

A grouping of six barn swallows, two of which are resting fledglings. As I painted, I reflected on the fact that raising children requires the collective efforts of a community, which inspired the title of the painting: “The Whistle Stop.”

Painted in acrylic on birch panel with rounded corners, enhanced with gold and copper leaf, and minute blue particles of Blue metallic leafing.

Presented gallery style, wired and ready to hang on your wall.
